Principal Carrano has a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and has been in education for over sixteen years in public and private schools. Caitlin has been on instructional leadership curriculum teams to advance the latest knowledge and best teaching practices to implement in classrooms and was also a mentor teacher in Massachusetts prior to moving to Guilford, CT. Mrs. Carrano’s philosophy as an educator is “to instill in students a love of learning through hard work and perseverance while fostering their morals and values through faith.” We have seen first-hand this year her commitment to the students on an academic, spiritual, and social level. Mrs. Carrano is excited to lead and bring growth, high standards, and inspiration to Our Lady of Mercy Preparatory Academy. After a highly competitive search process, we are thrilled to have found our next leader within our midst and look forward to Caitlin’s vibrant exuberance as our new principal in the next great chapter of OLM’s future.
