Mrs. Kerry Scarice is certified in Elementary Education (K–6) and earned her Master of Science in Education from Southern Connecticut State University. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Child Development from Eastern Connecticut State University.

Mrs. Scarice has spent many years working with young learners and is delighted to be part of the Our Lady of Mercy School community. Before finding her home in kindergarten, she taught primary grades in the Cheshire Public Schools and worked as a Cool-ology teacher, leading hands-on STEM experiences for preschool through fourth-grade students through exciting science and engineering investigations.

After teaching students of various ages, Mrs. Scarice discovered that her heart belongs in kindergarten! While she has enjoyed every role throughout her career, she believes there is something truly special about these early years. She loves helping young learners build confidence, discover new skills, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing the excitement on children's faces as they make new discoveries each day. She feels that kindergarten is the very best place to be and considers it a privilege to be part of such an important year in her students’ lives.

When she is not teaching, Mrs. Scarice enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, reading, traveling, and finding new ways to make learning fun and meaningful for her students.
